At mist, we want your shoes to fit perfectly and your purchase decision to be calm and risk-free. That is why we operate three distinct mechanisms — they do not overlap, and it is important to understand which one applies to your situation.
- Home try-on — before purchase. You pay only for what you keep. Everything else the courier takes back right away, free of charge — this is not yet a purchase, so there is nothing to "return".
- Return within 14 days — after purchase. If the pair you bought does not fit or you change your mind, you may return or exchange it within 14 days.
- 2-year warranty — if something is wrong with the goods. For cases of manufacturing defects or non-conformity of quality.
Below is a detailed explanation of each point. All the conveniences listed below (free courier call-out, home try-on, free return collection) are our voluntary commitments to you, over and above the requirements of the law; they neither cancel nor limit any of your rights guaranteed by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia.
1. Home try-on — you pay only for what you keep
When placing an order, you may select up to 3 pairs for a single try-on. Our courier delivers them free of charge within Yerevan and up to 10 km around it. You try the shoes on at home or right at your door, at your own pace, and pay only for the pairs you keep. If nothing fits — you pay nothing. The pairs that did not fit are collected by the courier right away, free of charge — no purchase of them ever took place.
What a try-on means from a legal standpoint. Home try-on is a free pre-contractual service (a "before-the-till" convenience), not a purchase and not a separate statutory consumer right. The contract of sale for a specific pair is deemed concluded only at the moment you decide to keep it and pay for it; until that moment, declining a pair at the door is simply a purchase that never happened, not a "return". Try-on means trying the shoes on under home conditions (as you would in a store), and not wearing them outdoors: pairs presented to the courier for collection must retain their merchantable appearance and bear no traces of outdoor use.
Good-faith use of the service. We provide free home try-on on equal terms to every good-faith customer. To keep the service free and available to all, we reserve the right — on objective and documentarily verifiable grounds — to limit the number of simultaneous try-ons or to decline to provide specifically the free home try-on to a particular person: for example, in cases of systematic reservation of pairs without any subsequent purchase, provision of knowingly false information (name, address, telephone), unavailability at the address or telephone provided, or previously established instances of bad-faith conduct. This does not limit your right to purchase any goods in the ordinary manner (including with advance payment) and does not affect your post-purchase rights of return and warranty.
How payment for the pairs you keep works:
After the try-on, you tell the courier which pairs you are keeping. You may pay for the goods you keep by one of two methods: via the PayLink Ameria link that we will send you after you select the goods, or in cash to the courier. You pay only for the pairs you keep for yourself. There is no charge for the pairs that did not fit and that the courier collects right away.
Receipt for the pairs paid for:
After payment, the courier issues a paper fiscal receipt (ՀԴՄ) for the goods actually paid for. The receipt is issued only for the pairs you kept and paid for.
At the time of handover and of return collection, the courier is entitled to verify that the composition of the order matches what was placed (model, size, quantity) and to record the completeness and condition of the goods at the moment of handover. Where there are reasonable doubts (a large order, indications of bad-faith conduct), the courier is entitled to check the recipient and delivery address against the order details.
Keep the receipt — you will need it if you later decide to return or exchange the goods.
The try-on is a "before-the-till" convenience. Everything described below regarding the 14 days and the warranty applies to the paid-for pairs.
The procedure and safety of delivery and return collection (including actions in the event of an unavailable recipient, an incorrect address or telephone, an unsafe address, and unacceptable conduct towards the courier) are governed by the "Delivery" section and the "Website Terms of Use", and do not form part of this contract of sale offer.
2. Return and exchange within 14 days after purchase
You have 14 days to return or exchange a pair you bought if:
- it did not fit in terms of size, width, style, colour or configuration, or
- you simply changed your mind — no need to give a reason.
This applies to footwear as well — footwear is not excluded from the right of return. Returns are processed within the Republic of Armenia.
The time period is counted from the day you received the goods.
What is required for a return
To get your money back for a pair you bought, it is sufficient that the shoes have retained:
- their merchantable appearance and consumer properties;
- the brand labels, tags and seals;
- the receipt or other proof of purchase specifically from mist.
The original box and completeness are required for an exchange for another pair — so that the new pair reaches you fully complete. The right itself to get your money back within 14 days does not depend on whether the box has been kept: even without the box we will accept the return and refund your money.
Careful home try-on is permitted — you may and should try the shoes on at home, just as you would in a store. Permitted try-on means establishing the nature, properties and functioning of the goods — and no more. Conduct that goes beyond such a try-on, however — wearing them outdoors (scuffs and soiling of the sole, creasing from walking, odour), damage, traces of washing or chemical treatment, removal or spoiling of labels and seals, loss of merchantable appearance — may become grounds for refusing the return or for a proportionate reduction of the refund amount by the extent of the actual diminution in the value of the goods — strictly within the limits permitted by law. Any such reduction is made only where the diminution in value is objectively established, in proportion to it, and with a record of the condition of the goods (see Section 5); your right of return is thereby preserved, and you are entitled to refer a dispute over the amount to the consumer protection authority or to a court.
Acceptance of the return and inspection of condition
After return collection, we inspect the goods for conformity with the return conditions (merchantable appearance, consumer properties, labels, tags, seals, absence of traces of outdoor wear and of damage) within a reasonable time — as a rule, within 3 business days of the goods reaching us. We will inform you of the result of the inspection. Both the courier and we are entitled to make sure that the very goods handed over to you (by article number, size, brand and security markings) are the ones presented for return or exchange. The time period for the refund runs from the moment we receive goods that have retained their merchantable appearance, consumer properties, labels and the other return conditions.
Exchange or money
- If you would like an exchange, we will first select a suitable replacement — a different size, colour or model. We will deliver the replacement when the first pair is returned, so that you do not have to wait twice.
- If no suitable replacement is available, we will refund the money for the goods.
How to return
Simply notify us within 14 days — by phone at +374 94 987490, on WhatsApp at +374 94 987490 (wa.me/37494987490), or by email at mistevn@gmail.com. We will arrange a convenient time, and our courier will collect the pair from you. We can send you a free-form return request template upon your request — completing it is not mandatory.
The time period is deemed met if, within 14 days, you have handed the goods to the courier (or another delivery service) — even if they physically reach us a little later.
Who pays for the return collection
Return collection of the goods within our delivery zone is carried out by the mist courier free of charge for the customer. You pay nothing for the courier's visit: all costs of return collection are borne by the seller. Free return collection is our voluntary commitment; your right to return or exchange the goods does not depend on it. In the event of documentarily established systematic abuse of this particular free service, we reserve the right to offer another lawful method of return — without limiting the right of return itself and without imposing on you any costs beyond those permitted by law.
When we refund the money
We refund the funds within the period provided by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia and, in any event, no later than one calendar month from the moment of receipt of the returned goods that have retained their merchantable appearance, consumer properties, labels and the other return conditions provided for by these Terms.
The refund method depends on how you paid:
- if you paid in cash — a refund in cash or by another method agreed with you;
- if you paid via the PayLink Ameria link — a refund by a method compatible with PayLink Ameria / Ameria, or by another method agreed with you.
What cannot be returned under this rule
The "no-reason" right of return does not apply to:
- goods made or personalised to your individual order;
- certain hygiene goods in sealed packaging, once the seal has been broken (for example, shoe-care products, replacement insoles).
Footwear itself does not fall under these exceptions — it can be returned.
3. If the goods turn out to be defective — 2-year warranty
New footwear carries a quality-conformity warranty of 2 years from the moment of receipt. If, within this period, a manufacturing defect or other non-conformity of quality appears (a seam comes apart, the sole detaches, defective material, and the like) — this is our responsibility.
You choose what to do
In the event of a defect, the choice is yours. At your discretion, you may demand:
- free repair, or
- replacement with an identical, sound pair, or
- a proportionate reduction in price, or
- a refund with rescission of the purchase.
We do not impose any single option on you and do not force you to agree to repair first.
What the warranty covers
The warranty covers manufacturing defects and non-conformity of quality. It does not extend to defects arising after the goods were handed over for reasons unrelated to their quality: mechanical damage, the consequences of breaching the rules of use and care, natural wear and tear, the effect of external factors (moisture, chemical agents, high temperature, and the like), as well as interference or repair carried out by third parties. To establish the nature of a defect, we are entitled to carry out diagnostics. In doing so:
- during the first year after purchase, the burden of proving that the defect is not a manufacturing one lies with us, not you;
- the costs of diagnosing a confirmed manufacturing defect, as with all other costs in the event of a confirmed defect, are borne by us;
- if the diagnostics objectively establish that the defect was caused by one of the reasons indicated above rather than by the quality of the goods, we are entitled to reject the claim with reasons, informing you of the grounds. You retain the right to challenge our refusal before the Commission for the Protection of Competition and Consumer Rights and in court.
All costs are on us
In the event of a confirmed defect, all costs are borne by mist: return collection by courier, diagnostics, repair or replacement, return delivery — free of charge for you. There is nothing extra to pay.
Time periods
- Repair — up to 20 days.
- Replacement — within 7 days (in certain cases, where time is needed for supply — up to 20 days).
- After a replacement, the warranty on the new pair starts anew.
If the fulfilment of these time periods is objectively hindered by circumstances of force majeure (natural events, supply disruptions for reasons beyond our control, restrictions imposed by public authorities), the running of the relevant period is suspended for the duration of such circumstances and resumes once they cease. This does not release us from the obligation and does not affect your right to a refund or to choose a different remedy.
When to make contact
You must report a defect within 2 months of the moment you discovered it. This is the period for making contact, and not the period of the warranty itself — the warranty remains in force for the full 2 years.
The first year — easier for you
If a defect appears within the first year after purchase, the burden of proving that the goods were sound lies with us, not you. We will not formally refuse you during this period without grounds.
4. How to file a return or a claim

- Briefly describe the situation (what the goods are, what is wrong or what did not fit) and attach the receipt or the order number. For a defect, photos of the defect will help.
- We will arrange a convenient time, and the courier will collect the goods from you free of charge within our delivery zone.
- After inspection, we will carry out an exchange, repair, replacement or refund — depending on your situation and your choice.
We respond to enquiries and resolve the matter within a reasonable time, and we will endeavour to do so quickly.
We process the information you provide during a return only to the extent necessary to handle the return and to contact you — see the "Privacy Policy" for details.
5. Verifications, evidence and good-faith use
To resolve return, exchange and warranty matters fairly and quickly — and to protect good-faith customers from abuse by individual persons — the following rules apply. They do not limit any of your rights under the law.
Verification of the order and identity. At the time of handover, return collection and acceptance of the return, we are entitled to make sure that the order matches what was placed and that the goods presented for return are precisely the ones previously handed over to you. Where there are reasonable doubts (a large order, indications of bad-faith conduct), we are entitled to reasonably check that the recipient, address and telephone match the order details.
Evidence of the condition of the goods. To confirm the completeness and condition of the goods at the moment of handover and return collection, as well as to resolve possible disputes, we may keep electronic records and photo or video documentation of the packaging and the goods. Such data is processed strictly for these purposes, to the minimum extent necessary, and for the periods specified in the "Privacy Policy" (the legal basis being performance of the contract and protection of the parties' rights in the event of a dispute). You too may record the condition of the goods at receipt and handover — this is in your interest should a dispute arise.
Prevention of abuse. Where there are objective and documentarily verifiable indications of bad-faith conduct in relation to a specific order — for example, a fictitious order, substitution of the goods on return, presenting for return goods that are not from our range or that have been in outdoor use under the guise of a try-on, a knowingly false warranty claim, systematic abuse of the return or warranty — we are entitled to conduct an internal review of that order within a reasonable, pre-limited time and to request from you reasonable confirmations (order number, receipt). Such a review is conducted only on objective grounds, is not used to evade our lawful obligations, and does not suspend the refund of money on a well-founded lawful demand. We will inform you of the results, stating the reasons.
The rules for using the website and account, intellectual property (texts, product photographs, catalogue, trademarks), the prohibition of automated access and data collection, as well as the limitations of liability permitted by law for the availability of the website and technical failures, are set out in the "Website Terms of Use" and do not form part of this contract of sale offer.
6. If we were unable to reach agreement
We strive to resolve everything amicably and directly. But if you believe your rights have been violated, you are entitled to apply:
- to the Commission for the Protection of Competition and Consumer Rights of the Republic of Armenia;
- to the courts of the Republic of Armenia.
The relationship between you and mist is governed by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia. You may contact us in Armenian, among other languages. We, for our part, reserve all rights and legal remedies afforded to us by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia, including the right to compensation for harm caused by bad-faith conduct.
7. An important principle
All the terms on this page operate in your favour and cannot be worse than what the law guarantees. Where in some respect we promise more than the law requires (for example, free return collection by courier), this is our voluntary commitment to you. Should any term prove less favourable than the minimum established by law, the law applies. The invalidity or unenforceability of an individual provision does not affect the remaining terms.
The version of these Terms that was in force on the day your order was placed applies; changes have no retroactive effect.
